What’s Trending

Another reason to quit vaping?
Vaping isn’t just bad for your lungs, it’s trashing the planet too. With sales surging some 541% by late 2023, disposable e‑cigs now make up 58% of the market—and end up as toxic waste. Most users dump them in regular trash (or litter them), sending lithium batteries and plastic casings into landfills, risking fires and chemical leakage.

Environmentalists say it’s time to hold retailers and Big Vape accountable, improve disposal options—and maybe rethink your next drag. Read more: HERE.

Where Is the Anti-Fentanyl Truth Campaign?
With synthetic opioid overdoses skyrocketing and the once‑powerful “needle barrier” crumbling—even users who understand the dangers feel powerless—the case is clear: it’s time to repurpose the bold, stigma‑driven tactics of the Truth Initiative against Big Tobacco, this time targeting fentanyl, xylazine, polydrug use, and the cartels that profit. The clock is ticking: nearly half a million Americans have died in the opioid epidemic, but without a gut‑wrenching, youth‑focused public prevention campaign, we’re losing the fight before it even begins. Read more: HERE.

Real Talk About Fake Pills
Fake pills are everywhere and they look just like the real deal. Most young people who end up dying from fentanyl didn’t want it—they got tricked. That’s why it’s so important to talk to your teen—honestly and early. Don’t wait until later this summer. Be the one to bring it up and start the conversation. Learn more at Song for Charlie and The New Drug Talk.
